In the shadows of the city, a ghostly figure is drawn to a man reading in a cemetery, longing for a connection that will never be realized.

In our hyper-connected world, where relationships are often fleeting and disposable, this story delves into the raw emotions of being ghosted—both metaphorically and literally. "Dark Places" explores unreciprocated love, longing, and the invisible threads that connect us in life and beyond.

Martin Jarl's pulsating, vigorous music, interwoven with glitchy voice samples, provides a sonic landscape that mirrors the protagonist's internal turmoil. She embodies the lingering presence of those we've left behind, the persistent echoes of unfulfilled connections.

In this context, "dark places" are the corners of the heart where discarded emotions, jealousy, and hurt from being ghosted reside. We move on with our lives, but these emotions—like our spectral heroine—continue to haunt our subconscious, and perhaps the subconscious of those who left us behind.
